Account and prospect

When you qualify a lead in DynaRent for D365 Sales:
  • An account is created in DynaRent for D365 Sales.
    In DynaRent for D365 Sales, an account is a company with which you (potentially) do business.
  • A prospect is created in D365 FO.
    In D365 FO, a prospect is a company with which you potentially do business.
The account in DynaRent for D365 Sales and the prospect in D365 FO are linked.
Note:
  • If, for the lead, you have entered an account name that already exists as an account, a dialog is shown where you can indicate what to do with the duplicate account.
  • If, on the Qualify dialog, you have selected an existing account, no account is created. The created opportunity is linked to the existing account.
  • If you have selected an existing account, usually, already a related prospect or customer exists in D365 FO. In this case, no prospect or customer is created in D365 FO.

Contact

When you qualify a lead in DynaRent for D365 Sales:
  • contact is created in DynaRent for D365 Sales.
    In DynaRent for D365 Sales, a contact is a person related to an account with whom you communicate. An account can have several contacts.
  • A contact is created in D365 FO.
    In D365 FO, a contact is a person related to a prospect or customer with whom you communicate. A prospect or customer can have several contacts.
The contact in DynaRent for D365 Sales and the contact in D365 FO are linked.
Note:

An opportunity is a lead who is now almost ready to buy. Use an opportunity to forecast sales revenue, set a potential close date, and indicate the probability of the sale.
